The fact I design all by myself gives me the chance to determine how the final concept in 3D will be. Round shapes and forms and the use of a lot of colour are becoming a real house style. This doesnt implicate that more serene and sober applications with straight lines, arent possible of course
Nevertheless I developed a great passion for what I use to call organic shapes: round, natural forms which gratify the senses. Functionality and aesthetics always go together, there is no rang between them on the contrary they behave like partners.
Another great challenge in my discipline is being creative with space. Most of the time Im working in bathrooms so measure work on the spot is usually the only solution to utilize optimal the limited space I have.
If it comes to choosing colours I dont tend to very trendy colour-use. I always try to use a range of colours, which survive easily the freak of fashion.
The use of natural saturated tinges is -in my opinion- a good choice in combination with mosaic. Semi-transparent paints, so called patina paints which are painted in different layers do even give an extra dimension at the global concept.
Its obvious that working with mosaics is more than breaking tiles and stick them to a wall. At the contrary, it requires a well-considered action on different levels in combination with respecting a handful of rules of the interior design
if not, working with mosaics usually ends up in a cacophony of colours.
So, functional organic design forms the base for every concept that carries the name
