History

It all started about eight years ago when I began to renovate my own house. The decoration of the bathroom was one of those jobs I looked forward to. I was sure about one thing: ordinary tiles were not really my cup of tea! It felt too straight, angular and most of all sterile.
I rather preferred round shapes, so mosaic was the most obvious solution to create a frivol bathroom which gives you ‘good vibes’ early in the morning!

Antoni Gaudí and Gustave Klimt inspired me but you will not encounter any copies in my house! The use of ‘krullewieten’ or in a more human language ‘curls’ in combination with mosaic felt quite natural, or even more it was stronger than myself…
About 2 weeks later or let’s say: ‘about 15 square meters of mosaic later’ my first bathroom was a fact!

It soon became the most popular room of the entire house. It was quite funny to look at the faces of the non-expecting visitors when they came back from the toilet…
A lot of them were enchanted and started to dream about their own fairy-like bathroom. And so the whole idea of ‘puzzling mosaics’ got a continuation by my most honoured toilet-users…

So, in order to feed my mosaic-addiction, we created this website. Hopefully it inspires many of you to lots of creative ideas!
