Barbamama A bathroom less than 6 square meters inclusive bath, shower with a seat, a toilet and a wash-bowl, it’s possible! The space for the shower was just a little bit too small to integrate a standard shower reservoir, so I created one on the spot. The pentagonal ground surface was an extra challenge that brought us to the idea to mason a sloping wall made by Ytong-bricks which served as partition-wall for the shower. The soft bricks in Ytong allowed us to saw out a round female shape that would serve as entrance gate to the shower. Even here I used ochre as a complementary colour to the different shades of blue of the surrounding mosaics. The interior part of the shower was painted in a very soft tone of crème to improve the light reflection. Welcome to the wonderful world of Barbamama! |
