Sun Here you can see my first trial piece: it is composed of one big shower, a wash-bowl integrated in an old oak barrel and an intimate corner for the toilet. Blue is the main colour, also the walls and the ceiling are painted in a soft blue tone. This mosaic contents 9 tones of blue, I also created extra contrast by the mixed use of glossy and rather satin tiles. The complementary colour in this room is ochre which you encounter in the sun, situated above the barrel, and also in the big wardrobe painted in patina. The sun is made of coloured glass; the wooden accessories are cut out of multiplex polish pinewood which is famous for its beautiful natural wood pattern. A folly, but appreciated by many, are the organic strings or curls also called ‘krullewieten’ which are growing like ivy over the walls. |
